Influenced by his parents, coupled with the legacy of his maternal grandfather, whom was also a painter, Jimmy was provided with the nurturing artistic background to propel him to evolve as one of Haiti’s emerging and distinctive artists. 10 years ago Jimmy began to explore his inherited yet hidden talent as a painter. A new acquired world for him, leaving behind the successful life as an entrepreneur in Jacmel, where he was well known for his bakery, bar and restaurant and delightful goodies Jacmel has to offer. Jimmy is currently navigating between Miami and Haiti, under the epithet Jika. As an artist painter, he creates his very own unique style, only he can elaborate on specific inspirations for each art piece.
